OVENS AUDITORIUM

Ovens Auditorium opened along with the original Coliseum in 1955. For nearly half a century, world-greats have graced the stage of Ovens Auditorium. With a seating capacity of approximately 2,460, Ovens has hosted more than 7,000 events, attended by 9.4 million people.

Ovens Auditorium has hosted top events and performances from the Billy Graham Crusade to Bob Hope and Bruce Springsteen. Broadway Shows, symphony concerts, opera, dance recitals and nationally known speakers have also found a home at Ovens, along with countless thousands of graduates who have walked across its stage to receive their diplomas.

LOCATION
Ovens Auditorium is located next to Bojangles Coliseum at 2700 E Independence Boulevard. Take exit 244 off of East Independence Blvd. Follow ramp and make a left onto Briar Creek Rd.

PARKING
The Auditorium’s parking lots typically open two hours prior to the event. Parking rates vary for each event – cash only. No credit/debit cards or checks accepted for parking fee. To reduce traffic congestion, we suggest guests arrive one hour prior to event start time.

FILLMORE – CHARLOTTE

The Fillmore Charlotte is housed in a historic textile mill, and is themed in the tradition of the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. The Original Fillmore has distinguished itself as a favorite among artists and fans alike because of the unique qualities of the theatre’s ambience, feel and traditions. The Fillmore Charlotte features the iconic music venue’s trademark decor, including red oak hardwood floors, red painted interior, vintage posters of legendary live music performances, magnificent chandeliers throughout, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, as well as, stadium style tiers that create great sight lines from anywhere in the venue, a VIP area and more. The venue opened its doors in June of 2009.

The Fillmore Charlotte is located just outside of Uptown Charlotte at the NC Music Factory. The physical address is 1000 NC Music Factory Blvd Charlotte NC 28206. After you enter the North Carolina Music Factory complex you will see our building on the right hand side.

DIANA WORTHAM THEATRE

The Diana Wortham Theatre’s mission is to present entertaining, enlightening, and enriching programs to our neighbors and visitors in Asheville, Buncombe County and Western North Carolina. Located in the heart of the Pack Square Cultural District, Diana Wortham Theatre is an intimate 500 seat theatre with convenient off-street parking and numerous downtown restaurants within a block of the theatre.

Diana Wortham Theatre offers live performances of music, theatre and dance throughout the year by nationally touring artists (the Mainstage Series) as well as a wide array of performances and events by more than 35 professional and avocational regional arts groups. Over 52,000 attended an event in the theatre in 2013, which includes over 9,000 students, teachers and parents from 16 counties in WNC as part of the theatre’s education program, the Matinee Series.

The Diana Wortham Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Asheville, the Diana Wortham Theatre is located within the Pack Place complex that also houses the Asheville Art Museum and Colburn Earth Science Museum, right on Pack Square. The Wortham Theatre is just three blocks from I-240, Exit 5-A Merrimon Avenue.

PARKING
There are numerous parking options when attending the Diana Wortham Theatre, including parking decks, surface lots and metered on-street parking. This map shows primary parking areas within walking distance of the theatre. Parking decks and lots have varying hourly rates or charge a flat rate event parking in the evenings. For ease of entry and exit be sure to bring small bills.

In terms of proximity, the theatre recommends the following three parking decks as best options for access. Please reference the Downtown Parking Map (above) for other options.

Biltmore Avenue Parking Deck – 16 Biltmore Ave.
This privately operated deck is adjacent to the Wortham and provides convenient access to the theatre. Park at the lowest, street level for access to the main/box office level, or continue to the very top/third roof top level, turning right after you reach the roof top level.  From this top level there is direct access to the theatre’s balcony lobby.  Look for PACK PLACE directly above the door from the parking deck.

Aloft Hotel Parking Deck – 51 Biltmore Ave.
This municipal deck is connected to the Aloft Hotel and is just one block south of the theatre on the opposite side of the street.  Enter the deck directly from Biltmore Avenue or behind the hotel on South Lexington.  The theatre is a short walk up Biltmore Avenue.

Buncombe County Parking Deck (164 College St.)
This municipal parking deck is a few blocks from the theatre.  From this deck you can access the theatre’s primary entrance on Biltmore Avenue or use the theatre’s rear entrance on Market Street (between Pack Square and Eagle Street) through the courtyard entrance just before the back entry to the Biltmore Avenue parking deck and across from the Fire House.  Enter the corridor on your right to access the courtyard that leads directly to the theatre.
